TNG novels which feel like a lost episode

What do you really want from a Star Trek tie-in Novel?
Imagine you found a VHS tape with a lost episode of your favorite TV show. Even if it wasn't a great episode, it would be exciting to see all your favorite characters together again.

Here's a short list of TNG novels which have that feeling, to a greater or lesser degree.

Dyson Sphere.

A return to the strange artifact that featured in one episode of the show. Some nice ideas, and a fun opportunity to get some more info on one of show's fan-favorite episodes (Relics)

Requiem.

A common problem with the novels is how you inject any tension when we know that all the main characters survive. In this book, the author does manage to give you some reason to care about the secondary characters, and you can feel Picard's turbulent emotions regarding his duty in this difficult scenario.

The Devil's Heart.

Feels like an early season episode. It has cheesy moments, but it really does feel like a missing episode at times.

Dark Mirror.

It's the Mirror Universe episode that we never got to see! Need I say any more?

The Romulan Prize.

Some issues with chronology bothered me a bit, and the central mystery felt more like something from TOS than TNG, but again, this feels like another lost episode.

Maximum Warp I & II

A fun double feature. It's from the later era of the franchise, after the movies, so the feeling of being a lost episode is not so strong. Maybe what it might have been like if there was another TNG movie.
